Miss Tennessee Contestant Workshop Weekend has come and gone again -- and I think I might have finally recovered and unpacked a tad, but I'm definitely typing this while giant piles of laundry are being ignored.

WHAT a whirlwind of a weekend, y'all!

I can't believe that we just have 3 months until June!

I am SO incredibly excited to be Contestant #32 in Group C!

The Miss Tennessee 2018 Scholarship Pageant will take place June 20-23
at the Carl Perkins Jr. Civic Center in Jackson, Tennessee!

On Wednesday, June 20,
I'll compete in the Lifestyle & Fitness competition.
My private interview with the judges will also be that morning-- so Wednesday is a big day for this contestant!!
(and this will also be the day that I'll be able to eat things that aren't tilapia or broccoli again, haha!)

On Thursday, June 21,
I will compete in the Evening Gown and Onstage Question Competition,

(and I get to have the CUTEST Iris Princesses EVER join me onstage!!)

No really, look at the pictures to the right, aren't they adorable?
Picture
I just love this Tony Bowls Couture Jumpsuit from Joann's of Union City! Thank you SO very much to (the always fabulous) Paige Dennis for always dressing me to the 9's and making my wardrobe score a 10! (y'all this jumpsuit is so comfy. you've gotta go see my girl Paige to dress you for your next event!)

Sweet Summer Smith and I are back at it again, this girl shows me all the ropes to being a professional princess and I know Elly Grace is going to adore spending the week with her!

I loved attending the Miss Tennessee's Outstanding Teen Competition on Saturday Evening! Thank you Rodney Hullender for picking out this gorgeous dress for me to wear!

One more pic of my Outstanding teens -- there may not be a Chattanooga OT, but I'll claim these two every day of the week! You have both worked so hard. I'm so proud to know you both!

My sweet, kind, and wonderful Best friend Miss Nashville, Kendall Pasley. (fun fact people ask us if we're sisters all too often. she's the twin I always wanted so we just say yes!)
On Friday, June 22,
 I compete in the
Talent portion of the competition and I cannot wait to perform my talent that I've prepared!!

On June 23, it'll be "Saturday Night at the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant!!" (said in Allison Alderson Demarcus's fabulous Emcee voice)
and it is also the final night of competition, and we will find out who will be Miss Tennessee 2018!

Here's a little bit of a breakdown
about Saturday Evening
at the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant,
for those of you reading that are curious to attend for the first time or might want a little more info on how the night works!

To begin the evening,
The Top 15 will be announced to the most fabulous,  dramatic and nerve inducing orchestrated arrangement you've ever heard.

(My friends and family know that just hearing the music itself makes my heart race and makes me start sweating, haha!!)

The Top 15 will also include the people's choice award, each night she will be recognized onstage along with the Lifestyle & Fitness and Talent Winner at the end of competition.

The Overall People's Choice award winner will have a spot in the top 15 on Saturday night!

($1 = 1 vote, you can vote in person in the lobby or at home / in the audience / from the roof if you want to! - from your phone via PayPal!)

The Top 15 Contestants are based off of the preliminary nights of competition and how each girl scored during her preliminary competition -- which are Wednesday-Friday.

Those scores are then "summarized" into a composite score which is taken factored into the final night of competition's scores.
(it's a little hard for me to explain thoroughly but you can learn more about it by attending a Miss America judges' seminar or by looking on the MAO website.)

The Top 15 contestants will compete in the Lifestyle & Fitness Competition, and then the field will be narrowed down to the Top 12.

The Top 12 will then compete in the Talent Competition and will be announced as they come onstage one by one for their individual talent performances.

(it's nerve wracking from the audience and onstage, believe me!)

Following the completion of Top 12's individual performances in Talent,

The Top 10 will be announced as they each come out to compete in the evening gown competition.

Following the Evening Gown Competition, all of the contestants in the Top 10 will parade onstage and the Top 5 will be called from the line up.

Finally, The Top 5 will compete in a final onstage question competition that counts for 20% of their score.

The judges then make their decision, and from there, the scores are tabulated, and the runners up and the new Miss Tennessee are announced!

"Pageant hangover" is real y'all.
This time change "springing forward" (I would love to know who invented that and how we can get rid of it?!?) and going back to Eastern time in my corner of the state has my internal body clock all kinds of confused.

It's been one glittery ride so far and I can't wait to see what sparkly things lie ahead.

Thanks for sticking it out with me and making it through these rhinestoned adventures.

All my love,

Christine Electra

I am soooo excited for you. I know in my heart that God has big plans for you. Your incredible heart to make children who are suffering happy and to advocate for ALZ and represent ALZ in Washington D. C. warms this aunt's heart. You are one very special young woman. I will be cheering you on in June!

"Perhaps you were created for this very moment."

The crown that sits on your head is a reminder that you are not the one that is to be adored for your sparkly accessories but a reminder that you are an ambassador and a servant leader for your community.

    love,

    Christine Electra
