The Memories Matter Campaign
Because memories should last a Lifetime.
As a part of my passion to #ENDALZ, I created the Memories Matter campaign to create awareness about Alzheimer's through social media platforms, a wellness movement, and an education initiative. Alzheimer's disease robs a new person every 65 seconds of their memories.
I know first hand how difficult it can be for caregivers when their loved one has Alzheimer's disease, and how hard it is to see their memories begin to fade away. As I began my work with the Alzheimer's Association and working with families, I felt there was a need for a resource to help explain this topic to young children. Especially being a young child that experienced this, this disease can feel scary, intimidating and hard to understand.
I self published a children's book explaining this difficult topic to young children as a way to help parents, teachers and caregivers explain Alzheimer's in a way that's easy and approachable.
You can order "Memories Matter" on Amazon or download via Kindle.
Life is all about experiences and who you share them with; this was my motivation to start the Memories Matter campaign. Share a photo or a selfie of your favorite memories / loved ones on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
Tell us why you support the fight to #ENDALZ in the caption and why our #MemoriesMatter.
Because their Memories Matter, and so do yours.
