Getting Fit For The Kids

September is HERE and the first of this month kicked off the annual fall Miracle Challenge for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

If you know me personally or follow me on social media, you know that I love fundraising for CMNH and spending time with the kids at these hospitals. Working hand in hand with these amazing hospitals has been such a rewarding experience and I'm so excited to be participating in this year's fall Miracle Challenge to help fundraise for the kids.

If you've ever chatted with me about Children's Miracle Network, I've probably told you about at least one of the amazing kids I've had the chance to spend time with.
I will never forget being at Erlanger Children's Hospital in Chattanooga and spending time with four-year-old, Arya.
Her parents, Heather and Jason, have devoted their lives to making sure Arya has the best quality of life possible. After spending time with this sweet girl and her family, I knew I wanted to follow this vibrant little girl's path as they search for a cure.
(and to see more pictures of her sweet smile. She's a pretty adorable kid.)
Every day her parents ensure that she has something to smile about. Following their journey has been an eye opening experience for me as to what goes into caring for a child that is dealing with such a grave sickness. But it warms my heart to see the daily videos of Arya smiling and singing, to read posts about the nurses caring for her and taking a vested interest in her quality of life, and to see her progressively doing better. One of the things that makes CMNH so special in this case, is the fact that these doctors and nurses really, truly care about their patients and finding cures so that they never have to walk through a hospital door again.

But for now, We'll be praying daily. We'll be fundraising every chance we get. And, of course, staying #AryaStrong, until the day comes, where little girls will never have to hear the word "Leukemia".

But why should you support 'getting fit for the kids'?

Because, for every minute that passes, 62 children enter a Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
These hospitals provide $3.4 Billion in Charity Care for kids annually.
For kids like Arya.
That's why you should join me.
So that Childhood cancer is no longer something children have to know about.
