Once upon a time,

years and years ago,

I began my journey in the miss america organization as Miss Memphis.

It feels strange to not be attending this year's pageant due to travel plans,
but i thought i would share with you
my final, parting words that played
during my final walk as the reigning Miss Memphis, years ago.

I really can't believe it's all said and done now- I always dreamed of being Miss Memphis one day, and I can't believe my year is up.

Shay, thank you for being such an amazing director. I'm so excited to see what this year holds for your two amazing new title holders, they're in for an amazing year!

Paige, thank you for always helping me look my best, you have made this ordinary girl feel like a queen. Thank you for making me shine now, and always.

Christal, I'm so proud to call you my little sister and I can't wait to keep cheering for you no matter what you do.
I truly don't think there's a more supportive sister out there, you amaze me every day!
I love you so much Puddin.

Mom, thank you for being my best friend, my mentor and my role model. Thank you for all the advice, hugs, encouragement, and diet tips! I love you so much.

Dad, you've taught me that hard work beats talent every day of the week.
You've instilled in me an unwavering determination and perseverance.
Thank you for teaching me that God has a purpose in my life and that he has placed me on the Miss America Organization "For Such A Time As This".
I love you so much dad.

There's no way I would have been able to walk across the Miss Tennessee stage without the support of so many people; thank you for preparing me for the opportunity of a lifetime!

I know there are countless people I have to thank,
but I'll leave you with this-
thank you for giving me the chance to serve my hometown.
Thank you for letting me give back and represent you at the state level.

I truly believe I was placed here "For Such A Time As This."

So thank you again,
thank you from the bottom of my heart,
for letting me be your forever Miss Memphis. ❤️

"Perhaps you were created for this very moment."

The crown that sits on your head is a reminder that you are not the one that is to be adored for your sparkly accessories but a reminder that you are an ambassador and a servant leader for your community.

    love,

    Christine Electra
