UnderGrad Forever?

So I've been thinking...
I don't want to graduate in 10 days.
But I guess that it's an inevitable event that I'm going to have to accep,t come May 13th's commencement ceremony.
The last four years have been some of the best of my life. I've met life long friends, and some of those friends have become family. My professors, advisors, and classmates that I've been with for these years have given me tools and learning opportunities that I know I'll treasure forever. It feels so surreal that it's all coming to a close.

I"m still in shock that I won't get to sit with the girls at lunch every day in my Phi Mu pledge class that I know and love and have come to think of as my second family. Every day for the past four years we've gathered around the long mahogany tables and squeezed as many chairs around them as our house mother would possibly allow and laughed until the time came to go our next classes. Just 10 more days of laughs and giggles around those long, brown tables.
Just 10 more days of sharing laughter and memories with the friends that have become my family and this town in Mississippi that was once strange and unfamiliar that has now become my home. I can't believe it's almost here. I know all of these memories will stay with me forever, and these "goodbyes" are only "see you later."
So when you hug me goodbye on graduation day, please don't say goodbye. It's only a brief departure, because I know I'll see each and everyone of you later.

The crown that sits on your head is a reminder that you are not the one that is to be adored for your sparkly accessories but a reminder that you are an ambassador and a servant leader for your community.
