Saturday night I had a (literal) ball with My Miss Tennessee sisters as we danced (and volunteered) the night away at the 30th annual Chattanooga Heart Ball!

Last year the Chattanooga Heart Ball raised over $71 Million across the nation. As someone who is pursuing an education with an emphasis in Public Relations, I've always done case studies in my classes on the American Heart Association and their success with the annual Heart Ball; this was my first time to be able to attend the ball and it was SUCH a wonderful experience! Of course, as a PR nerd, I loved getting the chance to experience a successful case study that I find fascinating. The heart ball raises awareness for Heart Disease in America and raises funds for research as well as local programs to combat heart disease and promote healthy living.

Approximately 1 American Dies every 40 seconds due to a cardiovascular disease; This goes hand in hand with the fact that heart disease is the number one cause of death in America.

If you want to find out more facts about the American Heart Association, Heart Disease, or how you can get involved click here.

Being involved with volunteering to promote such a worthy organization that means so much to the Chattanooga community was such an honor and a privilege- and I hope to attend again next year!

"Perhaps you were created for this very moment."

The crown that sits on your head is a reminder that you are not the one that is to be adored for your sparkly accessories but a reminder that you are an ambassador and a servant leader for your community.

    love,
